Eligibility Criteria of IB ACIO:
- Graduate from any recognized university in India.
- Age Limit: 18-27 years (Relaxable for SC/ST/OBC/CW/EXSM category, Physically Handicapped and candidates who have served in the Indian Army/Navy/Air Force/Armed Police Forces of the Union/Central Police Organizations and have been relieved/discharged after putting in a minimum of two years of service)

Exam Pattern and Syllabus of IB ACIO:
Tier-I Exam
The Tier-I exam will consist of 200 objective-type questions from the following subjects:
- General Studies (25% weightage)
- English Language (25% weightage)
- Reasoning (25% weightage)
- Quantitative Aptitude (25% weightage)
The Tier-I exam is qualifying in nature, and candidates who score the minimum qualifying marks (35%) in each subject will be eligible to appear for the Tier-II exam.
Tier-II Exam
The Tier-II exam will consist of four papers, each of two hours’ duration.
- Paper I: Essay (100 marks)
- Paper II: English Language (100 marks)
- Paper III: General Studies-I (200 marks)
- Paper IV: General Studies-II (200 marks)
The Tier-II exam is designed to assess the candidates’ written communication skills, comprehension of general issues, and understanding of national and international affairs.
Selection Process
The final selection for the post of IB ACIO Grade II/Executive will be based on the combined marks obtained by the candidates in the Tier-I and Tier-II exams. Shortlisted candidates will be called for a Personality Test, which will carry 100 marks. The final merit list will be prepared on the basis of the marks obtained in the Tier-I and Tier-II exams, and the Personality Test.
