Selection Process of DSSSB PGT Teacher:
The Delhi DSSSB PGT Teacher selection process can be conducted in two different ways, depending on the specific recruitment notification:
One-Tier Examination:
- This is a simpler and faster process involving a single online exam.
- The exam typically consists of 200 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) with a maximum mark of 200.
- The exam is divided into two parts:
- Part A: General Knowledge (GK), General Awareness (GA), Reasoning Ability, Numerical Ability, English & Hindi Language (100 marks)
- Part B: Subject-specific questions (100 marks)
- There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in Part A and Part B.
- Candidates need to score a minimum of 40% in each part to qualify.
- The final merit list is prepared based on the total marks obtained in the exam.
Two-Tier Examination:
- This is a more elaborate process involving two separate online exams.
- Tier-I: This is a qualifying exam with a lower difficulty level. It typically consists of 100-150 MCQs with a maximum mark of 100.
- Tier-II: This is the main exam with a higher difficulty level. It typically consists of 200 MCQs with a maximum mark of 200.
- The format of the exam sections in Tier-I and Tier-II may be similar to the One-Tier Examination, with Part A and Part B.
- Candidates who qualify in Tier-I are eligible to appear for Tier-II.
- The final merit list is prepared based on the combined marks obtained in Tier-I and Tier-II.
