Selection Process
Stage 1: Computer Based Test (Paper-I)
- This online exam assesses your knowledge in General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, and General Engineering.
- It carries a total of 200 marks with 2 hours of exam duration.
- There’s negative marking for incorrect answers (0.25 marks deducted per wrong question).
Stage 2: Computer Based Test (Paper-II)
- This online exam specifically tests your knowledge in the engineering discipline you opted for (Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical).
- The paper holds a weightage of 300 marks.
- Similar to Paper-I, it’s a 2-hour exam with negative marking (1 mark deducted per wrong answer).
Stage 3: Document Verification
- Candidates who qualify in both Paper 1st and Paper 2nd will be called for document verification.
- Originals of your educational certificates, experience certificates (if applicable), and identity proofs will be verified against the copies submitted during the application process.
Selection Criteria:
- The final merit list will be prepared based on the combined marks obtained in Paper-I and Paper-II.
- There’s no separate interview stage for SSC JE selection.
