Eligibility criteria for RPF Sub-Inspector (SI)

Age Limit 
Minimum Age: 20 years 
Maximum Age: 28 years 
Certain age relaxations are applicable for reserved category candidates: 
SC/ST: 5 years 
OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years 
Ex-servicemen (with a minimum of 6 months of continuous service after attestation): 
UR: 3 years (after deduction of service length from age) 
For OBC-NCL candidates, there is a relaxation of six years after subtracting the length of service from their age. 
SC/ST: 8 years (after deduction of service length from age) 
Female candidates who are widowed, divorced, or judicially separated but not remarried: 
UR: 2 years

SC/ST: Height 152 cm

Selection Process

  1. Computer Based Test (CBT): This will be a multiple-choice test covering General Awareness, Mathematics, Reasoning, and General English.
  2. Physical Measurement Test (PMT): This will consist of height, weight, chest measurement, and running tests for Constable candidates only.
  3. Medical Examination (ME): This will be conducted by a panel of doctors authorized by the Railway Board.
