UPCET 2024 is the Uttar Pradesh Combined Entrance Test conducted by Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow for admission to various undergraduate (UG) engineering, pharmacy, and other professional courses offered by government and private colleges in Uttar Pradesh.

UPSEE, UPCET 2024 or the Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination, serves as the gateway to numerous undergraduate and postgraduate courses in engineering, management, pharmacy, architecture, and various other fields across colleges and universities in Uttar Pradesh. Administered by Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), this state-level exam welcomes applicants not just from Uttar Pradesh but also from other states.

The examination, typically held annually, follows a multiple-choice question format and is conducted offline. The syllabus aligns with the curriculum of the qualifying examination, covering subjects like physics, chemistry, mathematics, biology, and general awareness.

Eligibility:

• Domicile: Candidates must be domiciled in Uttar Pradesh.
• Qualifying Exam: Candidates must have passed their Class XII examination from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
• Minimum Marks: Candidates must have secured at least 45% marks (40% for SC/ST candidates) in their Class XII examination.

Exam Pattern:

• Mode: Offline (pen-and-paper)
• Duration: 3 hours
• Number of Questions: 150
• Subjects: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics
• Marking Scheme: 4 marks for each correct answer, 1 mark for each negative answer

How to Apply:

• Candidates can apply online through the official website.
• The application fee is ₹1200 for general category candidates and ₹600 for SC/ST candidates.

Admit Card:

• Admit cards will be released online in June 2024.
• Candidates must download their admit cards and bring them to the exam center along with a valid ID proof.

Exam Centers:

• Exam centers will be set up across Uttar Pradesh.
• Candidates can choose their exam center while filling the application form.

Result:

• The result of UPCET 2024 will be declared online in August 2024.
• Candidates can check their result by entering their roll number and registration number.

Eligibility Criteria for UPCET: For Undergraduate Courses (B.Tech/B.Pharm/B.Arch/BHMCT/BFAD/BFA/B.Des):

• Nationality: Indian citizenship is mandatory. Certain seats are open to NRI candidates and foreign nationals.
• Age Limit: No specific age limit for most courses, except for B.Arch., where candidates should be at least 17 years old by December 31 of the admission year.
• Educational Qualifications: Vary based on the course. For instance:
  • B.Tech/B.Pharm: Requires passing 10+2 with Physics, Mathematics, and one of Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Technical Vocational subject.
  • B.Arch: Requires passing 10+2 with Mathematics as a compulsory subject and at least 50% aggregate marks.

For Postgraduate Courses (MBA/MCA/M.Tech/M.Pharm):

• Nationality: Indian citizenship is mandatory, with some reserved seats for NRI candidates and foreign nationals.
• Age Limit: No age limit specified for postgraduate courses.
• Educational Qualifications: Differ based on the course. For example:
  • MBA: Requires a minimum three-year bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution.

UPSEE 2024 Registration Process

• Personal Details: Log in using the received credentials and fill in personal information accurately—details like name, date of birth, gender, category, nationality—double-check for accuracy.
• Academic Details: Enter educational information—qualifying exam details, board/university, passing year, percentage/CGPA obtained. Ensure accuracy in your academic background.
• Document Upload: Submit scanned copies of your recent photograph and signature as per specified dimensions and file formats to avoid processing issues.
